Newspaper and pension materials, flyer for one of his speaking engagements and letters sending him on speaking assignments after he returned to the US. Rare set. Breveted, October 6, 1916; attached Escadrille N-82, April 12, 1917 Promoted Sergeant May 31, 1917. Croix de Guerre with palm. Killed in aero plane accident June 1, 1917, at Chaux, north of Belfort. Buried Chaux, Territoire de Belfort. American Cemetery, Belleau Wood. Photo would have been taken in 1915 while on leave. $195

In addition to the portrait photo, the scarce original "Paris Card" is present. These 8 x 10 cards were kept at the American Field Service headquarters and were never intended to be distributed. In the 1980s these cards were found at the home of the founder of the American Field Service and some were donated to the American Field Service.
